Pathway Concept before Council 13 June 0930. Please come and offer your support
Hooray – the Christchurch Coastal Pathway Concept finally goes before Council on 13/6/13 for formal adoption!
The full cost of the pathway is estimated at $17M. At the meeting we will be advocating to Council that 3M dollars for each of the next three years be included on the Council’s Three Year Plan for the project. We hope that our request will be supported by the full council, in recognition of the project as a major earthquake recovery initiative which will benefit the whole of the city. Cornerstone funding of this amount would enable the Coastal pathway group to confidently go forward and fundraise for the balance required.
The Three Year Plan will be debated by the Council later this month.
Coastal Pathway Group would very much welcome your attendance at the meeting tomorrow to show the strength of support for this project within our city.
When: Tomorrow 9.30am
Where: Council Chambers, 53 Hereford Street, Christchurch Central
We look forward to seeing you there.
Regards
Linda Rutland
