Thanks For Sharing Your Ideas
Thank you to those that we are able to attend this week’s community consultation Envisioning workshops. We really appreciate the time and commitment that you all made.
The Christchurch Coastal Pathway Group was delighted with the strong turnout, with over 150 people contributing their ideas as to what the proposed Pathway should be at the workshops in Mt Pleasant, Sumner and Redcliffs.
The workshops were jointly hosted by the Pathway Group and Mark Rushworth, a senior Planner with the Christchurch City Council. The actual consultation was led by Landscape Architects, Megan Wraight and Martin Bryant of Wraight and Associates and Tourism Consultant, Rob Greenway.
There was a universal response at all workshops that the Pathway was the single most important community initiative for the area as it would provide a vital “spine” connecting all the communities and assisting each of them to thrive.
The Consultants have now taken all the ideas away together with their observations of the area to develop various options for the Pathway.
They will present those options back to the Community for feedback at workshops on
• Tuesday 9 October. 4 – 6pm @ Mt Pleasant Yacht Club – located on the Main Road just over the Ferrymead Bridge (when coming from the city)
• Tuesday 9 October. 7:15pm – 9:15pm @ Redcliffs Bowling Club, 9 James Street, Redcliffs
• Wednesday 10 October. 7:15pm – 9:15pm @ Sumner Old School Hall, 20 Wiggins Street, Sumner
Diary these important dates now !!
We look forward to seeing you there for the very exciting next stage of the Pathway’s design development.
In the meantime if you have any further ideas please forward them to us by and we will pass them onto the design team.
Cheers
